Mastering Mother of the Bride + Groom Makeup

Hello beautiful mothers of the bride and groom-to-be! As a wedding makeup artist who understands the significance of looking and feeling fabulous for your daughter's (or son’s) big day, I'm here to share my expertise and guide you on achieving a stunning makeup look that enhances your natural beauty and complements the occasion.

Consult a Professional Makeup Artist:

Why not make it an occasion in itself! If you are not sure whether you want makeup for the big day, come along with the bride and have a trial too.  We can help you understand your skin type, suggest suitable products, and create a makeup look that aligns with your personal style, enhances your natural features whilst still looking like you! Collaboration and communication are key to creating a tailored makeup look

Focus on Skincare:

Start your makeup routine with a well-prepped canvas. Invest in a good skincare regimen to ensure your skin is hydrated, smooth, and ready for makeup application. Cleanse, moisturize, and use a primer to create a smooth base.

A Good Foundation:

Now when this foundation word is mentioned it can cause concern and worry that the makeup might look cakey and too much. We can opt for a light coverage foundation, a CC cream or ever spot conceal to ensure you complexion how you want it. The goal is to even out your skin tone and create a beautiful canvas for the rest of the makeup.

Accentuate Your Eyes:

Your eyes can be your focal point, so give them the attention they deserve. Use neutral or subtle eyeshadows that enhance your eye shape and colour. If you want to add a something a little different why not add a little sparkle. To create a softer eye look, consider browns for the eyeline and mascara (waterproof of course)!

Subtle Cheek and Lip Colours:

Choose blush and lipstick shades that complement your complexion. Opt for subtle hues that add a touch of colour without overpowering your features. Cream blushes and satin-finish lipsticks offer a youthful, radiant glow. Make sure to use a lip liner to stop the lipstick bleeding and to stop your lipstick from smudging.

Set Your Makeup:

To make your makeup last from the 'I do's' to the last dance, we'll use a setting spray. This final touch will ensure your makeup remains flawless and picture-perfect throughout the celebration.

Final thoughts: Your children’s wedding is an occasion to celebrate and cherish. We will work together to create a makeup look that accentuates your beauty and radiates confidence.
